JOB OVERVIEW:

Blink Fitness is in need of a capable Agile Coach and Scrum Master for a 6 to 12 month engagement. The main focus of this role is to help scale a quickly growing Agile shop, as well as work with the organization to ensure that the cross-functional teams maximize their potential. Additionally this role would act as SCRUM master for a single team that is tasked with a re-platforming project, as well as coach 2 small Kanban teams in Agile best-practices.

Responsibilities

  • Advocates the adoption of Agile best practices
  • Guide the team on self-organization and continuous delivery
  • Coach individuals in areas like interpersonal interactions and conflict resolution
  • Facilitate SCRUM events such as standups, walkthroughs, demos, and retrospectives
  • Support the team in removing impediments, or coaching them to remove impediments themselves
  • Support and partner with Product Owners, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible
  • Own and improve upon our digital agile dashboards
  • Assist the organization in bringing Agile to scale

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Agile principals (no exceptions)
  • At least 2-3 years acting as a SCRUM master in a genuine Agile software development organization
  • Experience working with Kanban teams
  • Experience working with ticketing and dashboard software such as Jira or another equivalent
  • Experience working with both collocated and offshore teams
  • Experience coaching both the team and the organization in adopting agile mindsets
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or combination of equivalent experience and education

 

 

PLUSES:
