JOB OVERVIEW:

Blink is seeking a self starter left-brained marketer with a digital background focused on acquisition marketing across performance media channels. Candidate is highly data driven with the ability to also think creatively. This is a marketing professional with 3-5 years of performance marketing experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing, this position will manage the development and execution of our acquisition-marketing program and will oversee, on a day-to-day basis, the media agency partners that support our acquisition mix.  They will play a pivotal role in driving new leads and sales for our rapidly growing business and as such will be a key player on the team. The ideal candidate will be a left-brained marketer who is a master with numbers, data and analytics. They must be tirelessly curious about the rapidly changing digital landscape. They must also understand the important role creative plays in delivering results through the acquisition plan.

This position is based in New York City at our bright, shiny 27th & Park Ave. offices that we affectionately call B-ho (Blink Home Office) where the floor plan is open, music is always playing, snacks are aplenty and happy hours make us all, well, happy!

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and execution of acquisition marketing campaigns across Direct Mail, Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and Affiliate Marketing channels to accomplish business objectives.
  • Manage media agency day-to-day contact and relevant vendors to deliver and optimize acquisition plan.
  • Partner with Creative team to brief, develop and revise acquisition assets
  • Evaluate the performance of our acquisition mix. Make necessary spend and mix optimization recommendations to achieve our leads and sales goals.
  • Identify new opportunities to drive membership sales through online marketing channels (some offline too).
  • Manage and maintain the acquisition-marketing promotional calendar and timeline focusing on key dates relating to campaign amplifications, price promotions, openings and key retail holidays.
  • Leverage deep understanding of the digital space and direct response marketing to drive traffic to our website and our gyms.
  • Develop, communicate and analyze the performance of the acquisition messaging and creative across all channels.
  • Identify and plan A/B test opportunities to draw critical insights for growth and optimizations
  • Coordinate copy and the design process with our in-house creative team to deliver acquisition marketing plan assets that perform well. Create a robust A/B test plan to optimize creative across channels.
  • Partner with our creative teams and media agency on an ongoing basis to plan, launch, measure and optimize activity.
  • Provide strategic direction for our Acquisition e-mail marketing program, testing and optimizing distribution targets and creative messaging to deliver optimal CPA.
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance recaps, aggregating performance across channels to evaluate the acquisition marketing plan holistically and improve marketing decision-making.
  • Create ad hoc presentations on holistic acquisition marketing performance for senior leadership.
  • Keep pace with digital marketing industry trends and developments. Stay up to date on ad platform updates as they roll out in order to keep Blink and our agency on the forefront of customer acquisition.
  • Manage the acquisition-marketing budget, a majority allocation for the entire marketing budget, and support the management and tracking of the holistic marketing budget.
  • Develop creative briefs for website enhancements, digital ads, emails, social ads, etc. that yield optimal and innovative creative output from agencies and internal creative department.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital media planning/buying across paid channels
  • BS/BA required in marketing, business, mathematics or other relevant fields.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in paid social, display and mobile marketing and measurement
  • Organized with constant attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously often under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to make measureable improvements in Acquisition Marketing Channels that drive business results. Channel marketing experience is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data, prepare and interpret reports and communicate actionable results, findings and recommendations. A keen understanding of digital media KPIs and attribution.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel: pivot tables, vlookup, etc. and PowerPoint
  • Strong working understanding of digital marketing best practices and relentless curiosity for innovations in the space.
  • Analytical thinker who is comfortable working with Creative teams
  • A solid working understanding of SEO and attribution, as well as strong knowledge of website analytics tools especially Omniture
  • Experience managing e-mail marketing. Bonus points for experience working in Exact Target.
